Landscape, Memory and Bone: Trace
The archival, limited edition, Landscape, Memory and Bone series of digital prints shows enigmatic, breakable and dying landscapes. Within this fragile environment, marks and organic forms grow intertwined and unpredictable. Layers of textural surface become deeper and richer as they are drawn, then erased, worked, then reworked, constructed and then deconstructed. Each image has changed dramatically from start to finish. Allowing for serendipity, the compositions were left open and flexible, for as long as possible, so as to not force the work in any one direction. This allowed for surprise. Edition size: twenty plus 3 artist proofs. This print is 1 of 20. The prints are on heavy weight, matte paper. Website: jimpearson.net
