The Traitor

Story appeal drives many of my paintings. In this one, I decided to create a row of men in bowler hats, all standing with their backs to the viewer, staring out at some body of water. Three of the men are holding guns, the fourth is holding a bouquet of roses. By calling this painting, "The Traitor", it immediately creates a question in the viewer's mind. "Is the man with the roses the traitor? Is he perhaps killing someone with love?" As always, that's for the viewer to determine.
